just saying hi to everyone.. i have browsed around this board quite a bit and just got around to joining now. i am also a member of the ERDT (Escort Racing Development Tem) message board. But as of late its pretty obvious that the majority of the members there (majority NOT all) are complete fucktards and don't know their thumbs from a PCV valve. So i decided to get on somewhere with people that know its a bad thing when your 2 week old air filter is covered with oil. While i have an LX (Ford 1.9L engine, not a GT with the twin cam BP) other than that though our cars are virtually identical. so just saying whats up....

Hey, welcome to the board. How does your 1.9 compared to the BP dohc engine with the mods you have?

[edit]
Oh yea, just about all the members here are all top notch. Very opinionated, but top notch regardless

pretty close with a stock 5-speed LX protege. If i race one off the line i usually win cuase my car pulls a lot harder off the line and at low end (i dont ever shift any higher than about 5800RPM). if we race on the roll though i get passed at about 65-75MPH cause i lose my major advantage. For some reason though the escort GT's with the BP are faster (the majority of guys that have stock 91-96 EGT 5-speeds with timeslips to back them up run around 16 flat), i have raced about six off the line and i can only keep up till about 55-60MPH
