POS = not good idea to put in our cars, because it stands for Piece of ****, and our cars are not POS

Looks good, like a stubby Mazda6. BTW, whoever said the 3 has better proportions than the 6 is on crack. Either way it does look good.

Just take a look at how much stuff they have stripped off from the P5 as an example.
I have a post here in another page showing how much they have stripped off from the P5.

For all the Canadian Mazda enthusiasts, Mazda Canada FINALLY revamped its site!!!

Prices for the new 3 are as follows :

SEDAN

GX - $16195
GS - $17695
GT - $21345

OPTIONS

Sport Auto - $1000
A/C - $1000
Leather - $900
Convenience Pkg - $695
Power Pkg - $795
Sport Pkg - $1395
GFX Pkg - $1095

5-Door Hatch

GS - $20185
GT - $21385

OPTIONS

Sport Auto - $1000
A/C - $1000
Leather - $900
Power Moon Roof - $800

The prices are better that I expected. A fully loaded 5-speed GT sedan will list at $23340; almost a $1000 LESS than a base Mazda 6!

Now I gotta convince the wife we need a new car.

BTW - It should hit Canadian showrooms by December.

Why is it that Canadian models don't have side airbags even as an option? ('Old' pro didn't have them either...)

Did anyone in Canada notice the difference between our 3 and the US version? They have the S,i, and 5 door S. Our four door GS only has the 1.8L engine and not very much in the way of accessories. The american S (I think) has the 2.3L and a but load of accessories. It sucks because the car I want is exactly the american S. It is only 15-16,000 compaired to 20-21,000 for the one I want without the 2.3L. damn!

Hey Trogdor. where did you get your info? the mazda 3 gx and gs has the 2.0 148 hp motor. Not the 1.8. Check the mazda canada site for details. Also if you convert 21000 US straight to canadian at 1.25 or .75 can per US dollar we shuold pay 26250 for a 21000 US car. But in Canada, cars do not float with the exchange
rate. cars are subsidized because we are a smaller market

It's a beautiful car, and personally I would feel terrible tearing up the dash to put in an aftermarket deck because it looks so good the way it is... Still, it's gonna suck if it doesn't have some versitility ie.. MP3 CD-RW player. Cuz I know my pro doesn't

We can always upgrade the speakers and hopefully add a power amp if needed. I noticed from the info downloaded that there are steering wheel mounted stereo controls-that negates upgrading the head unit (if you want to keep the controls).

I'll use my Hard drive MP3 player with a GOOD FM transmitter for my MP3's.
