MazdaSpeed3 Boost Pressure?

I can't find the specs on the MSP3 boost pressure. I can see in the manuf pages that the MSP6 boost is 15.6 (which is quite a bit IMHO), but the MSP3 boost is not listed in the same location on its page. I am [still] considering a MSP3 purchase and was previously thinking that I could crank the boost up further, but if it is already running at 15 psi, I would not want to touch it. The engine output being what it it however, I suspect that it is already up there pretty close.

The MS3 boost at same pressure than the MS6, about 15 PSI. But in 1st and 2nd gear, boost is limited. In 3rd, the pressure is all released. With a downpipe and a BOV, I have some peak boost up to 21-22 PSI for a short time. Some guys are running on a constant 18 PSI with a MBC and a fuel cut defender with no problems, if it was factory set at about 15 PSI, I think it is not a real problem to boost up to a "SAFE" 18-19 PSI.

TurboXS or CPE are both good, but I prefer CPE a little because the DP is in one single Part (from turbo to the 2nd deleted CAT)
with turboXS, you must buy the racepipe AND the DP separately but still cost less than CPE. So my 1st choice is: CPE then TurboXS in 2nd
I didn't got any CHECK LIGHT with my CPE dp.
You'll see a nice and great POWER improvement with any of the DP tough.
Good luck!

Hey this also sort of touched base on a few of my questions.

So I'm sort of a n00b and I was trying to figure out the different between a "test pipe" and a "race pipe"?

Does one keep the CAT and one removes it?

Cause Arizona is stiff on emissions.

Yes I'm pretty sure test and race pipe are the same.
For the BOV, you should check for a full recirc. like HKS, GREEDY, FORGE but avoid the turboXS BOV which I heard is crap.
The turbosmart dual port is a very good brand if you want a louder PSSSHHIT sound!
mazda247 dot com has plenty of infos on the Mazdaspeed3

oh And about the race the racepipe, yes it delete the 2nd cat. If you want to keep it, just buy the catback from turboXS without the test pipe.
Do you have to pass test emission in Arizona?
Here in Canada, we don't have to, so its easy to remove the 2nd CAT.

Hell yeah haha we have to pass emissions here! It sucks. Without cats I'd get so much more airflow and it would sound so sick! But yeah so I was thinking about doing a custom exhaust....

test every year? you have to pay for that?
If you fail, what happen then?
You should make you own easy swappable exhaust!
