Mazda3 speeds?

My boyfriend asked me the other day when the mazda3 speed is coming out. I might not even have the name right. For all I know they are already out with them! Does anyone know how different they will be? Just wondering. Thanks

mazdaspeed3 wil be out next year for about $25K+ it'll be a 2.3L turbocharged fwd car similar to the SRT4 and will make about 240bhp. Expect more supension gains than anything else though.

i really liked our 3S hatch...very solid and not one problem with it. Very sporty car. My wife got compliments on it daily...more so than she's gotten with the RX8. Take it as you will

Egads! For $25,000 it better have AWD. And, I sincerely hope that if it does, Mazda has learned from the Mazdaspeed6 that Americans don't necessarily want a ton of extra weight tacked on to their high performance, AWD car. Sure, AWD adds weight. But check out the curb weight of the Mazdaspeed6's main AWD competition, the Subaru Legacy GT. There's a big difference there, if I recall.

it wont be AWD...not a chance. the MS6 is AWD because Mazda already had AWD set-up in the european versions of the 6. FWD only for the MS3.

Also, they use the same engine, if they were both awd the MS3 would annihilate the MS6 and that wouldn't help sales.
