Mazda 3 Tranny Oil change- pros and cons, costs?

Anyone here successfully change out the tranny fluid on the Mazda 3 with CVT shifting? No one has the tranny fluid at retailers and it seems I can only get it at a rip-off price from Mazda itself. Any suggestions? I just need to drain and fill, how hard can that be??

Thanks for any advice.

you can get mercon v at any auto parts store, i recommend mobil 1 full synthetic... and you can do a full flush at home, very easy.

Don't use Mercon 5, it will damage your transmission. Use either a universal synthetic or the actual Mazda stuff called M5. M5 is NOT the same as Mercon 5.
