I've been trying to figure out whats wrong with my car and I happened to run across this site and thought someone might be able to help me.

Like mentioned in the title, I'm having a few problems with my mazda. It's a pre-owned car that I purchased last September and it ran great up until about a week ago.

Starting about a month back, whenever I turned the a/c on and put it at the second setting, the light would flash on and off causing the a/c to go on and off, which I considered to be no big deal. However, about a week ago, the air conditioning completely stopped working. Then Wednesday, I was driving to class and had to stop at a red light, the battery light flashed on and the car shut off (for no reason I can think of..) After that, the car starts idling rough whenever I'm stopped, when I'm speeding up, when I'm on the edge of shifting gears, and when I go up hills. Just today, I was driving home and the check engine light came on..

I've taken it to a shop where they looked at everything. I had a fuel injection done and they changed the spark plugs. They thought the compressor had gone bad, but then decided it hadn't. The next thing I'll do, obviously, is just take it to the dealer.. however, I'd rather avoid that. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I appreciate it.

If the check engine light came on there should be a DTC set. (Diagnostic Trouble Code). If you can find out this code, I can try to help you with this.
