Mazda 3 ECU

Yea I have a question to anyone able to answer it. I was racing this honda accord, the other night and I beat it off the start but when its top end kicked in I got murdered. Is there a way with an ECU to increase my top end from 118 to a higher top end?!

I hope you were racing at a track.
And if it was a V6 Accord then I think it will kick your ***.
No, there's no 'chip' or anything for your car, if that's what you mean.
I'm not even sure there's a standalone unit available for the 3 yet, but someone else could maybe answer that one.

you need more than 118mph? I doubt it. 116mph in the quarter is good for 12s passes.

Yeah i had that problem many atime racing (yes street racing) but me and me buds are having a very hard time getting to the ECU as far as changing it to either delete the govenor or change its limit cause my 06 2.3L is auto but i drive in manual and when i shift in a race my 4th gear is basically useless since i top out in 3rd (doing perfect shifts) but the Mazda 3 ECU kind of "learns" as in terms of if u are even able to alter your settings eventually it finds a way to make the car run like it did stock w/o actually changing what you put in since the engine is more computer than motor, its going to be a while before any aftermarket companies get any racing chips that will be compatable with the 3's ECU cuz they are working on the 6 first (its by order of popularity).
