Clasical: affected from what i know is.
----------
Mazda 3, 2004 thru early 2007 (JAN). Japan 2007 had the plate installed before shipping here. And Mazda 5, dealership told me.
----------
Yes this is a BIG problem, but the 2007 have some prevention with the plate. This car is a BLAST to drive, i tested a Mazda 6 base model, and then the 3 sedan GT. Same roads, WOW. Plus, visiting and learning from this forum is a bit great. If you like the car, talk and try to get a good deal so you can use that money towards a quality 2-way alarm...so you can catch "the one" who...damages your investment

Sentra SE-R is a Blast too but smaller, the mazda 3 is also the best selling car mazda ever had.

finally got my 07 3 hatchback, and this car is absolutly the best car ive ever had. when i was going to test drive it and then a pontiac g5, well needless to say i never made it to pontiac, the first 200 feet in my three i was hooked, i got the the purple mica and i luuuvvv my car, after market radio was a snap to install, and billet shift **** was easy too. the gauges are off the hook, and i allso found they make a interface to go with after market radios so you can still use the steering wheel volume controls, this car is a blast to drive, rock on mazda

Mazda Canada

I talked to Mazda canada and they would refuse to say that it is a design flaw with the car. I said that if i can go up to any M3 and hit it and it will open then that would be a design flaw.

and about the dents. "If there was not a design flaw then there would not be a dent. The dent is in direct relation to the problem with the locking mechanism. This is your problem."

Mazda Canada response "that is only your view sir." BULLSHIT.

she then asked if i was broken in for certain. I told her yes, I caught the guy in the act. got him out of the car and had him turn out his pockets, dump his bag and give me his ID. he did not have ID but offered up his court docs.

Burrard and Pacific in vancouver at 11:01pm last night is where and when it went down

It is going to take all the Mazda 3 owners going to Mazda Canada and demanding over and over and over again until they will do something.

A class action lawsuit will probably fail due to thier bankroll. but if we can cause enough stink and take up enough of thier time as it has ours then maybe something more can be done.

If I caught someone in the act of breaking into my car, I would beat them unconscious, then get my power drill and drill through their eyes into their brains.. with a verrry dull drill bit

That's insane that they are refusing to acknowledge that it's a design flaw.. it's well known throughout anyone who has read a car mag or reads car blogs that mazda acknowledged that it was a problem. If it wasn't a design flaw, then how come they had to redesign the locks and I believe redesigned them for european 3s back in 2004??
