Looking for valuable info
I realized I posted this in the wrong thread earlier . . . but please take a minute if you can to address my concerns, I would greatly appreciate it!
"Hi, I just signed up. I am in the market for a new car, as my 01 pontiac grand am decided to kill itself. In any event, I have been looking at getting a 2006 Mazda3 hatchback.
During my research both on here and on a few other websites there as been mention of engine seizure and blowing the motor. I was curious if (a) anyone knew how often this occurs (b) is there a consistent time in an engines life in which it occurs (c) if there is any way to prevent it.
I am also curious to know of any OTHER COMMON problems with the 06 Mazda 3 that would prevent a major problem. My reason being is that I am currently a law student, and cannot work as per the American Bar Association, and as such I do not have an income to be able to combat major repairs. So if I can anticipate certain things happening, it might be able to save myself the trouble and focus my attention to a different vehicle if this seems to be too troublesome.
I appreciate any input!"

I believe if you type in TSB's (thread service bulletins) on google or this website on the search function, then you should be able to find the common issues on these cars. I don't believe the engine seizure is an overly common problem on the properly maintained and driven cars out there for your chosen year/ model, but I could be wrong.
Let us know what you decide and what you find!
