help! need info about this

yo!
this is my engine bay, (pic taken a year ago, i cleaned it since then) so, which engine is this( code please). as much as i know it is 1.6 SOHC, im sure about SOHC, as you guys tell, those engines werent built in proteges, well heres the proof! so, whats the hp, torque.... and so on. how can i be sure that it is 1.6 because the vavle cover is as large as 1.8 valve cover????
thanx

take a look at the little hose coming out of a intake hose, the one which passes next to the place where you put oil in engine, that hose is on a different place, on my engine it is on a left of that oil thing (i just cant remember the english word) and on the other engines it is on the right! so, WHAT THE HELL IS IT??? IM REALLY PISSED ON MYSELF, I HAVE THAT CAR FOR FU*KIN 13 YEARS AND DONT EVEN KNOW ITS HORSEPOWER OR ANYTHING!!!!!!! PLEASE, EXPIRIENCED PROTEGE MASTERS AND EVERYBODY!!!! WHAT IS IT?????

I'm pretty sure that's the B6 engine you find in U.S. 323 hatchbacks.

According the the Protege FAQ (see link top right)

Horsepower: 82 @ 5000rpm
Torque: 92lbs/ft @ 2500rpm

yep, thats the 1.6l SOHC.

BTW, the hose that runs from the valve cover to the intake tube is for crankcase ventilation.

Get it from here Adelaide Shipping to Canada cost $500. It took a while arrive though.

Protege is just a name! Whatever you call it, it's the same car! So the engine is a little smaller . U.S. market cars usually get only the larger engines, except for the exotic ones like the BPT and stuff.
