Insurance rates on mazda speed 3 - srry if repost

Hello all.

Currently i have an 06 wrx looking to possibly pick up a speed3.

Just curious what you guys pay for your insurance. I currrently pay 210 for my wrx w/ geico and I just did a quote w/ them for the speed3. Thing came back for 295 a month.

Sorry if this has been posted. I ran a quick search and didnt find much regarding the speed3 only the normal 3.

If you dont mind sharing please list age/coverage ammounts/ and so forth.

Thanks in advance

$295 a MONTH??? I have a 06 3 S Touring and mine is $3xx for 6 months. Speed can't be that much more expensive. Or maybe because we have a multi car discount and house insurance under 1 policy. anyways... $300 a month for insurance ONLY in damn expensive. I'm paying off my car for less

Insurance rates depend several factors.

1. Age - Whilst this is no indication of how well one drives, it's just a right of passage.

2. Record - Tickets, Wrecks, etc... all affect your cost. It takes 3 years (for most companies) to drop one of these puppies from your record.

3. Location - Companies also look at where you live. They compile data like accident rates, etc... This can be a bitch if there are a lot of wrecks per capita.

4.Credit - This is unfair for many people. The ability to get a credit card, etc... should not be a factor in this, but unfortunately it is.

5. Drivers - If you have other drivers on your policy it can raise or lower your rate. I.E. if you have your mother/Father on your policy, it can help lower your rate. Especially if you make them the primary driver.

6. Other - things like a good grades, drivers ed, and multiple cars/etc... on the same policy can also give you discounts.

As I said, for as long as you're under 25 (like me..) all insurance companies will continue to rape you as they please. I'm in the same boat as you so I know you're not full of **** when you say you pay $295/mo on just insurance. When I first got my P5 at 18, I was quoted $2200 for six months .. so that's about $366/month. Insurance sucks .. it's the biggest ripoff in America.

I cant believe Geico is $300 a month for the speed3, that sucks!! I pay ~$170/month for 4 cars--05 Mazda3 S, 97 Eclipse, 96 Probe GT, and 93 Ranger. Thats for me (27 w/2 tickets) and my wife (24 w/1 at-fault accident)...

GEICO is a rip...I just switched to Teacher's Insurance Plan after they quoted me $150 a month just on my MS3...and I'm a teacher with an excellent driving record who commutes only 5 miles to my school each day. How do you think they pay for all those "cute" commercials??? Shop around, try some of the independent companies...

LoL, you guys are all spoiled. I pay $260 a month for a regular *** ES Sedan, 2002.

I have had no accidents, not ever a speeding ticket (seriously), and I'm 22. Perfect driving and credit records for last 5 years, and they treat me like a criminal or some kind of daredevil.

Insurance in Canada is much worse than the US.

And yes I shopped around... some wanted up to $500/Month.

22 male, ~350 month full coverage on 02 p5...not a single thing on my record either, I really hate insurance but theres so many people without it, its better than getting in a wreck with someone w/o insurance

My insurance has never been above $95 a month, ever. Even owning a Mustang GT when I was under 25 years old.

Were you on a policy with your parents or by yourself? If you were by yourself then I find that hard to believe .. unless it was like 10 years ago when everything was a lot cheaper.
