I had my first run in last night with a 06 Civic Si and 02 prelude

I was rolling behind them as they were side by side and then as one of them broke ahead I made my move and blew past both of them.

The guy in Si stoped me to talk about the Speed since he had never seen one in person since we believe there isn't another speed3 in the dayton area needless to say he was very impressed with my Speed3. I told him to dump that Si (he had CAI, exaust system and something else) cause it was no match for my stock speed 3

But like I told him I'm looking more forward to waxing some stangs rather than my fellow cars from the land of the rising sun!!

MS3 is a demon from a roll. exhaust, intake and piggyback will decimate all from a 30kick.

The newer stangs might be tough to be beat. But anything earlier than a 2005 should be fun to race as long as the stang hasn't got a ton of **** done to it.

Nice little car, but I don't consider Si's to be fair game. '02 Prelude maybe in a straight line only. I think their 0-60 was in the high 5's.

The Speed3 is sleeper stealthy (at least in Blue or Silver) enough that I've had clueless Toyota Corolla S and MatrixR drivers try to pick a race with me. I'm not keen on street racing, so I will not take that bait. Let 'em think whatever cluelessness is in their feeble minds.

tonight I had a run in with a 06/07 eclipse GT I had the fam with me so I could only toy with it. The GT sounded quick when I got home i checked the specs on that car and to my surprise it's a tad faster than the speed3 while it's rolling.

I need that CAI to get the 20-25 more HP and the 20lbs of torque (basing this on avg dynos around the different forums).

So that I can have the upper hand with a few more rides out on the road.

the real key on our cars is the EMS or TMIC or TBE... Those upgrades make the car a beast!!

I beg to differ. Depending on the year V6 stang you'd be surpised what 190hp and 220tq in a RWD car looks like compared to a 160hp 150tq FWD.

My wife had a 99 V6 mustang and it would surprise you. Easily much faster than our 2.3L 3S hatch.

I beat a GT this weekend in the 1/8. Very close but a win is a win. Not sure what his mods were...... If it would have been from a roll it would have been bad. I like the stangs and view them as the competion/standard of inexpensive performance. I'd like to have the title but the GTs have had it for so long...

If I had more to spend in gas I might be on your bandwagon as well.
