Fuel Filler Door 2004 Mazda 3 5 Door

Can you tell me how the fuel filler is installed. Does it just snap into place or do I have to drill any holes.

All the Mazda ones are the same.

There is a flange that fits inside the filler hole.
You remove 2 bolts, pop out the old lid, this one basically bolts in it's place.

Just watch your knuckles when tightening up the filler cap, there are a few sharp edges there and you have less room to maneuver with because of the new lip around the inside edge.
