Did I pay too much for this Mazda 3?

Bought from dealer.
2004 Mazda 3s
103,000 Km
Power everything, including moonroof
Very good condition
No rust- except a minimal amount underneath- overall good condition
Only needs very minor work to certify

Car bought for $5700 +HST at dealer *as is*

Dad is a mechanic so he is going to be getting it certified.

It was $5999 but I talked him down to $5700. I am wondering if I still got a good price for this vehicle.
I live in Northern Ontario.

That is all. Thanks

Great deal car looks clean and your dad can fix anything that needs fixing. Enjoy your new ride. Here in the States car max would want about $8,000 for that car in No VA.

Don't know your climate, but if you look at the black metal around the windows, there's some rust and unevenness. I'm surprised the body looks so good- has it been repaired and painted perhaps? The paint on my 2004 was awful (same color) and things like the door hinges started to rust almost immediately. I do live in a high salt area, and have heavy corrosion and holes around the rear wheels. A key area to inspect is the center brake light in the hatch lid. Water gets in there and corrodes it out. It's a pretty good predictor of how the rest of the body will hold up.
