awd?

Is there any talk of an awd MS3? It seems like a no brainer since they already have the system in the 6. I would hate to buy an MS3 and have them offer an awd version next year. That would suck.

Very little chance of that, though it is possible with some re-engineering. The 3 is "based" (if loosely) on the same Ford C-platform as the Volvo S40/V50 and that has AWD. But that would add 200 lbs and $1,500 - $2,000 to the price and a completely new rear-suspension.

The exhaust is off-set so that's not an issue.

It's a big engineering job and would almost certainly have been offered right away. I've heard or read nothing about an AWD version, if it was in the pipe-line some word of it would have leaked out.

It's possible for sure, but not likely.

I'm gonna go ahead and safely say no as well. Mazda wouldn't release an AWD MS3 cuz it would kill their MS6 sales. If the MS3 was AWD Turbo as well .. there would be very little reason to buy the MS6. It would just be a nightmare for their sales and they would practically be competing with themselves ..

It's possible to do anything with enough money...but sometimes if you have that much, you just buy a Porsche and be done with it.

Too right! The MS3 is sweet but I'd give all that I own for a GT3.
