I just got my mazda 3 hatch and love it.
But I kinda want the speed now.
I dont think it has enough power for me lol.
Now I wished that I did. It was an extra $200 a month than the $350 I am paying now.
It seems a bit high for monthly, but one, I live in Hawaii, and two, my downpayment wasn't much cuz I still have to pay for school.
With my job, I make about $1200 a month. I know, not much.
Anyways, here is my questions.
How can I make it faster?
I don't think I can turbo it.
Maybe an engine swap? But later, I know that will be costly.
Also,
I want an exhaust system but do not know what will sound good.
I want a kinda low and deep sound.
Someone said just redo the piping.
They told me that the skyactive engine throws off the typical sound it will make.
Is that true? I don't think so.
What do you guys suggest?

And one last thing, where can I order fogs online? Mine didnt come with fogs. The dealer told me the only ones that they had that comes with fogs are the speeds and the regular 3's, not the hatchback.

yea im pretty much looking for the same thing for mine. But I know that adding any performance parts could and should void the warranty on the vehicle.
I really want to lower mine, change the exhaust and add the fogs.

 

Congrats on the new car! It's true, if you wanted a 1/4 mile drag car, you couldn't have done much worse than a Skyactive maz3. You CAN make that sucker corner like it's on rails though.
