2.0l and 2.3Lfuel economy
The fuel economy on the 2.0 and 2.3L is going to be better then our 1.6L. I was in getting service and checked out the new "3" Loved it and specs for fuel were better on these bigger more powerful engines. 1.6 L = 6.7L/ 100km and the new 2.0L and 2.3L = 6.2L/100km How is this possible???? I loved the abilty to chnage the light colour of gauges from blue to red. And the engine covers are just like the "6". How much would it be to replace those under hood covers after like 100 000kms? Did you see the size of those filter housings under the hood. Those panel filters must be huge!!!

Punkprotege- They are awesome. The pictures on the net do NOT do them justice. They are mini mazda "6" at affordable price. Why in the hell would anybody want a civic, corolla, neon, sunfire, cavalier after seeing one of these babies. I am going in on lunch today or monday and at least getting my 1.6L appraised. My wife and I are very aware that our present 1.6L is by far the most reliable/durable car and with only 72000kms, its just broken in. But resale and trade-in is still great as I hav e 6 months and 8000kms left on the original waranty. Not that I ever use it for anything. I would probably go with the 2.0L. Is this a mistake? Should I just get the GT or sport edition with 17" tires and 2.3L??? Decisions, decisons, decisions!!!

I am picking up a 5 door S as soon as my dealer calls me.
my only decision is the color.
except i the dealer has 8 mazdaspeed rims in the back and i am thinking about buying 4 of them because i like the look of them.
corksport already has parts coming in for them
i went to the japan site for the axela and watched the videos and they kicked *** but i still don't think if gave it justice

get better gas mileage and a few more ponies by just installing a k&n air filter.
went from MN. to MI. a few weeks ago and ran 75-85 (with air on) and got 354.8 miles on 11.6gallons, gas light came so wife wanted to stop and get gas, but i bet i could of went pretty close to 400 miles on one tank.
one question if anbody can answer? when i first start up i usually let warm up for about 2 minutes but when i drive its real doggie up till 3200 rpms then it feels like it got a shot of no2 then when it gets up to normal operating temp it runs fine...
is this normal for other 3 owners or should i have it checkd out
i have a 05 sp23 auto/sportshift.
thanks

Do you fill up when the lights comes on? Because it comes on at about 2.5 left. It leaves 2.5 in there so that people have a good amount of leeway incase there isnt a gas station near by. So unless you're running your car till it dies, then filling it up, you're not emptying the tank.
