Nexen tires

I am getting a couple Nexen tires tomorrow for my 2006 Mazda 3...does anyone have any Nexen tires? Opinions on them? Thanks.

I purchased a used 3 about 3 weeks ago. I had it inspected before I purchased it. They told me there was a rim with a dent in it, so I purchased a replacement and had it put on. I thought that would get rid of the roar from the front end, but it didn't. I got a second opinion and had the wheel bearings checked - no problems. Finally a third shop offered to rotate the tires for free. That moved the roar to the back. The tires look good, and drive well. Maybe one of them was damaged? IDK, but I will purchase a different brand when I replace the two in the back and put the new ones up front.

Yes I have them on now. Brand new, well....500 miles at least now. The car came with them when I bought it ('05 mazda hatch). It's a cheap tire price wise but they perform plenty well for me. I took at least 3 high speed tire squealing turns and the control was easy and traction gripped at the right time. The reason I bought this car is my '01 Audi S4 was stolen. I had only 39,xxx miles on it and went through 4 sets of tires

Now it may be an unfair comparison to quattro, but I had 2 sets of Dunlops, 1 set of Fuzion HRi and 1 set of Kumho. And honestly, my fav was the Fuzion HRi which coincidentally was the cheapest of all of them at $72 for 215/45/HR17. Although I have less than 1k miles on the Nexen 3000s, they track very well, very little road noise and do well in rain. For the price, I think they are just fine. With the money you save, you can easily buy the tire protection package just in case. But so far they are great. Maybe as they wear down the noise will get louder, but in my approx 6-700k miles in them they've been a great tire. I'm glad that Korean gire manufacturers have built quality tires and pressured american tire companies to reduce prices AND improve their products. I'm actually buying a CHINESE made tire for my 18" RX8 rims within the week. Called Primewell, but there's not even a website for them. I don't drive much (I walk to work or take the subway), but for $80 a pop...you just can't beat that. It is only avail. via Firestone service centers. I don't drive aggressively and there were few reviews on them but they seem solid, with great tread patterns. I will post reviews later when I get them mounted.
