Mazda 3 Engine Air Filter Replacement

Can someone provide me with the info/pictorials to replace the Engine Air Filter?

There seems to be a battery air duct that runs across the air filter box, which i can't figure out how to remove.

Thanks

Replacing the air filter is very easy! Lift up the battery cover and the battery air
duct will lift up and slide out from next to the radiator. Pop the 4 clips on each corner of the air filter box and gently (but firmly) lift up the top of the box.
Contact K&N and get one of their lifetime filters. They will give you way better throttle response than the stock air filter.

k&n filter

the k&n filter will give you throttle response you can notice? Thats just for the regular filter not the intake system? The $300 dollar intake gives you 5.2 hp gain but that does not seem worth it.
