Unhappy Advice needed- windshield wiper not working

My wife has a mazda 3 and she's convinced that the windshield wipers are capable of removing 5" of heavy snow. Now, the drivers side wiper doesn't work. I can move it maually as it seems something is stripped. It happened in the past but was fixed under warranty. Anyone have any ideas for me other than retraining my genius wife? Thanks in advance!

I've had the same thing a couple of times. My sense is something gives way under a heavy load.

It was corrected by opening the hood, taking off the cap over the bolt that holds the ww in place, and tightening the nut.

Had to do that a couple of times last year.

Good luck.

Tom

PS It's pretty simple.
