Accident with my Mazda 3 Hatch 07

HI guys! hope you all had good Holiday

On the 8th of this November, I got rear ended by BMW 5 series and pushed me and i hit a Acura MDX infront. My car is a wreck , the front and back, luckily the airbag didn't deploy. He have all state and i did, so the deductable was waived off..

Initial estimate was 3800 but they found more damage and cost 8400!! thats alot of money! It is still in the shop and been fighting with the insurance, they want to put a aftermarket condenser and Fan but of course i bought my car BNEW, i want a Mazda Genuine parts. Still fighting with the insurance with the Help of the service manager at the body shop. I did found out that if those after market parts would fail, it would not be covered by warranty, that is why i want them to put a genuine Mazda Parts.

Any suggestion, comment, or any additions, i would appreciate it.

oh no! and definitely yeah require mazda oem parts. You bring up a good point about the warranty coverage.

hope you get fixed up quickly! From the 8th to today.. have they still not actually started putting new parts on the car? That's a long time to wait

My car just got rear ended on Sunday afternoon.. a 12 car pile-up ensued, which pushed me into some car (just a scuff on my front bumper.. and the car left the scene).. my initial estimate was $4750 but yeah with salvage parts and non-oem for any new parts. ugggh. Definitely fight it, because it is your safety that is affected. Non-OEM headlamps are bad news, crap quality optics. For the safety and reliability of your car (shouldn't that matter to the insurance company? wait no, just about money).. OEM all the way.

When I was at enterprise picking up my rental, the woman behind me in line um..

well she got rear ended in her yellow Mazda Protege5 by someone who 'didn't see her' --luckily she was well enough that we had a laugh over that :P

The Body shop manager have been very helpful. When i dropped the car off, i mention to him that IF all state wants salvage parts to put in, i told him to fight for the genuine.. so at this point everything is approved to get the genuine parts except the condenser and the fan, I believe that a guy from all state is scheduled to go and take a second look but for sure i will fight all the way.. I will keep you guys updated.

My parked MP5 was hit by a tractor trailer. I made sure all OEM parts were used. Luckily since it wasn't my fault, the insurance company (mine) said to use OEM. Again they estimated $4,000 but wound up being $8,200. Good luck with getting OEM, if it wasn't your fault then your insurance company should help you get OEM.
