Since I was too lazy to put my street tires back on Sunday night, (after the Fresno Chapter SFR round 4 auto-x in Atwater, Ca. in 96 degree heat, AND running in the last group of course, I was just spent physically), I took the opportunity to have the car weighed in "racing trim" on my lunch hour Monday. Racing trim means no spare tire, jack, tools, 1/3 tank of gas, and my semi-lightweight Miata OEM alloys (15x6) mounted on the car. A pleasant surprise, the car (2002.5 DX sedan) came in at 2460 lbs, without my 175 lb *** in the seat of course. The scales only weigh down to 20 lb increments, so I guess that 2460 is + or - 10 lbs or so, but I'm happy with it being under 2500.

I weighed mine with full interior minus spare tire which came to a luscious 2700lbs WITHOUT me in it. In contrast to that, my RWD V8 Focus now weighs 2900lbs with no carpet, the bottom half of the back seat missing, and no people in it. *whew*
