What type of scooter would you prefer??

I've been bitten by the scooter bug. I haven't been bitten since College and now I'm sick all over again. Here's my dillema. I'm wanting to buy another scooter. Both scooters are about the same price. One would require international shipping though as it's not sold here. (Gary, do you still love me?). The other is sold here and very nice but they each have their strengths and weaknesses. What do you think??

Peugot JetForce Compressor 125cc Supercharged http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/fi...25_compressor/

or

Kymco Xciting 500cc NA scooter

Both are right at $6k...Of course shipping would be a consideration and unless Gary knows of anyway to sneak it around customs I may not have a choice. I just figure it would be easier to get a crate with a scooter in the country rather than a cargo container with a car.

What do you think? Bigger engine or smaller engine+supercharger for more money?

The last time I rode a motorcycle (not including Cheaha) I lost half my face in a wreck, had to have my ear re-attached and skin grafts over 30% of my right side.

I learned by age 14 that you don't need 160whp on a 400lb bike to have fun. Sometimes an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of pain (or flesh).

Even with the 250cc I've got now I can break every speed limit in the entire country. Why would I need more?

I haven't....besides. Dumping a 350lb scooter at 45mph is a little different than dumping a 500lb crotch rocket at 180mph.

I'm sure I'll dump the scooter eventually. I've already had a few close calls on gravel. I just feel safer on a scooter that I won't be pinned underneath while I slide down a hill on my face like I was with the bmw.

Another reason is cost of ownership. My comprehensive insurance including, theft, fire , vandalism is only $12/month on a scooter. It would $80+ on a bike. Also, scooters are MUCH easier/cheaper to maintain. I just did the following and I'll tell you my total cost at the bottom:

new NGK Iridium IX plug
new proHonda coolant
new Mobil1 oil change
full tank of gas

$31 for everything.

I think you should stop playing around and get a Velocifero, then slap that little turbo you have laying around on it.
