Warrenty on Supercharger!

What would you guys think if a Mazda dealership could install Superchargers on new Cars and have them under warrenty? Just askin' because a birdy wispered something in my ear.

It sounds cool in theory IF the price is reasonable, but that's a BIG "if". Toyota Racing Development (TRD) has tried selling factory-warrantied supercharger kits for the Camry and Solara for several years, but they carry a $4,500(!) price tag; GM is now offering a supercharger kit for Quad4 J-bodies, and it retails for $3,750. Although the factory warranty makes it kinda tempting, IMHO it makes more sense to buy a car with more power in the first place than to spend this much dough on a supercharger kit.

Put it this way: add $4k to the price of a regular Protege, then compare that to the price of a new MSP with equal power *AND* upgraded suspension, 17" wheels, an LSD, reinforced axles, a body kit, cool interior trim and a bitchin' stereo. Which makes more sense to you?

YMMV.

that is a very good point, but what if you want one on a brand new Mazda 6? would you be willing to give up the warrenty on a brand new car?
