As for my setup I've only got maybe 2 G's in it so a turbo setup can be done for not too much. Also to answer your question yes you could convert your single fogger kti to a direct port but it will probably cost you another 500 bucks for all the parts and to get it installed right. A good direct port setup woudl work well but I still don't like laughing gas it blows motors I dont' care how safe people say it is.
and to prove a point, what kind of nitrous kit did you use with what type of shot?

I believe it is possible to make 200whp with nitrous if not damn close, especially with a Direct Port Set-Up and Basic Bolt Ons, hell even more is possible with Forged Rods and Pistons, proper fuel and timing is the key there.

the parts for DP are gonna run you at least $350 usd, have fun acidbg

oh and, ill make more than 200 whp, with nitrous

Well I've run a 50 sdry shot with a NOS kit and a 60 wet shot with a NX kit and I still like the turbo better so your point is useless and I don't trust a 75 shot on our motors I don't like Nitrous its all a matter of taste. I just like turbo better I don't like sitting there worrying if a solenoid is gonna stick open or if one isn't going to open and it does happen its happened to me. I just don't like NITROUS its the slackers way out for HP slap on a nitrous kit and go beat some civics, imports, mustangs......whatever......it still boils down to two roads the cheap N2O route or the more expensive but more pleasureable turbo route. I don't do straight line races so Nitrous does me no good anyone can make a car go fast but make it go fast all the time and in the curves then you have a car. I also don't have much respect for people who don't get into their cars and try new things.....I mean buying a Nitrous kit or a turbo kit and slapping it on is something anyone in this world can do but to make yoru own kit from scratch and work it the way you want it I will have much more respect for such as Terry (spoolin) Biknmn, some of the other guys on the board who have gone in and made their own kits and tried new things with the protege not some people who have bought a kit whether it be a turbo kit or a Nitrous kit and then they go out spouting Oh I can kick your *** I have nitrous BLAH! make something with your own hands then I will be impressed. otherwwise shut yo mouth and just keep spraying money into your motor.

Even w/ a turbo you constantly have to worry about problems... Like when spoolin was just driving down the road and ran over something that caused a break in his oil line that F*ked his motor up. Not to mention w/ a turbo you constantly need to run high octane fuel...where as w/ my NX kit...i am not shooting during the winter...so i just fill up on 89-91 octane fuel...so i am saving money there!!! Also w/ a turbo you have the problem of immediatley voiding your warranty..where i can pull my NX kit if i have a problem...Also w/ a turbo you have to worry about if you have a few people in the car and how much your spooling....like one guy who had an mp3...driving around w/ his friends...on the highway..and BOOM...no more mp3...So please don't say that turbo is worry free compared to nitrous kits!

About people running their mouth...Ha ...everyone runs their mouth talking trash...that's just what guys do...have you ever played any sports when you were younger...i played basketball, baseball, football..and we alwayz talked trashed...

I'm w/ Patio on this...nitrous can def get you 200 hp...with a few bolt on mods...

If a turbo kit is properly designed and installed you don't have many issues with them at all. Alot of the things that have happened with turbo cars have been corrected through trial and error cause turbo is still relativly new with the Protege. As for you can take teh N2O kit off and mazda won't know thats B.S. right there cause I know for a fact they have tests they can perform that will show if Nitrous has been introduced to the motor or not. This test has been used with Honda dealers for some time. Also you warrenty on a part isn't void unless the dealer can prove it was the modification that caused the problem. and actually it was Big Ben that had the oil loss in his motor not Spoolin that caused his motor to ***** up. Also if you have people in your car that will not cause your motor to blow fucktard a turbos boost is RPM and load dependant so yeah you may have more load on the motor but if your wastegate is functioning correctly then you don't have a problem. Like I said this thread will go on forever and I will always keep the same state of mind that I don't like Nitrous no matter what you all say. Also yeah i played sports but I'm not a 10 year old anymore are you? I'mm 23 years old and sick of all this bably B.S. some people like Nitrous some like Turbo I'm ust saying I think turbo is way more reliable and I don't like Nitrous end of the line.

easily obtained without bolt ons or with bolt ons, wich one, ,, I am pretty sure that the 2.0 , 1.8L motors would need sometype of bolt on or something being replaced, like pistons or something major,,, you figure people don't even want to use a 75 shot in there pro's ,,,, and a 50 shot is not getting you 200 ...

well I am under the impression that with the higher NOS pressure that is being used , that one would at least want to make sure they have a strong bottom end ,, much like a turbo set up .. why take the chance of frying the bottom end with a absurd NOS shot , I know I would not trust anything over 50 ,, even if I had 170+ hp with the rule of thumb of using a NOS shot of half your hp.....

But if they don't need to change the pistons on the FS then more power to them ,, maybe the FS is as strong as the BP ,,, is that so JBoogie ...
