OK how similar/dis-similar is the honda 1.6L from our 1.5L, cause a buddy of mine can try to get me a turbo kit for a 1.6L Civic SI, for $300....

 

The exhaust manifold will not work, but if the turbo is in decent shape it might be worth that much if you can locate a manifold somewhere else to build the system on.

 

You could do what i did and spend a rediculous amount on a engine swap with a '92 GTX 1.8T. The only problem there is also getting a programmable ECU to handle it. My HKS Super-AFR can try as it may, but just don't seem to cut it. I just yesterday decided to trow in a HALTECH which was another 1150$ + install. Hopefully that will cure it. I'll keep you posted.
