A friend offered me a Garrett T3 Turbo. I dont know what that means at all. If it good, or ****. the price is right though ($500) If I picked this up does anyone know what else I would need to get this going. Because if it is too much I ain't doing it.

ie Blowoff valve, etc

 

there's loads of "what do I need for a turbo" threads in the FI section. search and ye shall find.

and.... the T3 is a good turbo. is it used? if so, $500 is NOT a good price.

 

He means 500cdn so around 250usd.

 

Still, 250us is kind pricey... If you want a T3 turbo go to a junkyard and look for an 83-87 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe... it will probably need to be cleaned up etc. I got mine for 50 bucks, granted a Junkyard turbo could have bad seals etc... just some food for thought.
