What kind of effect does Toluene have on catalytic converters?

I saw a guy with a Buick turbo adding Toluene to his tank at a gas station. The guy claimed to be making 500hp. Nice to know exactly what he was doing, although I don't think he was adding enough to make a difference (about 1/2 gal).

I dont know anything about the effects on a Catalytic. David, run it and see if it makes a poor man's high flow cat

Actually I saw those mean little Formula One cars were running 84% toluene and the rest was some sort of filler to meet the rules of the time. They called it "Rocket Fuel."

Those car were running some ungoddly amount of boost on little 1.5 liter motors making over 1500 horsepower.

Yeah, Here is a link on what you want to know about Toluene:

All Ya want to know about Toluene!

My only concern is if it will make your fuel lines brittle?

I bought a gallon from Sherwin-Williams about a week ago, and its sitting in my garage.
