Oil and coolant lines for BP turbo

ok i must be missing something, but i thought that the turbo was cooled by the oil? or is this for the GTX tubo?

The oil lubricates and I guess to some point cools the turbo but the coolant specifically cools the turbo.

There are both sets of connectors on these IHI turbos, oil and coolant. You have to use both.

ok sorry, i was thinking of the 1982 Z car that i worked a little while back. first turbo car i ever got my hands on

and since that turbo was the stock one it was only oil fed, which means you would have to let it run for a few mins after you drove around.

it was not until 1990 i think that the Zs had coolant lines to the stock turbos.

anyways, thanks Mik my brain was not working.
