Lightbulb Nitrous Pressure!

I have heard from many people that it's not good to have the bottle open if you are not going to shoot!

I ask them why they reply "b/c the pressure will wind up causing the solenoids to fail"

Well...than...i have a question...my bottle was closed and i went to get it filled...and when i craked the line to get the bottle out...i heard a psssssst...which sounded as if the lines were pressuriezed......Can someone Clarify this for me! and why i can't drive around for an hour w/ the bottle open!!

thanks

chas

first off, NX solinoids are guarrenteed for life, so a replacment wont be a prob.
second, i wouldnt leave the bottle open for a LONG time, but i ve had it open for sevral hours no prob-
third the psssst from the line is normal. its just still pressurized from being open, if you had a purge kit, you could close the bottle and vet out that pressure, but its no big deal.
