Copy and paste the address to see them.

Kind of neat but doesn't provide any real insight.

Thanks.

Whoa Kincaid, what happened to your car? Were you okay?
I remeber when I crashed my car. I was heartbroken and zoned out until I got it back.

Welcome to mazda factory turbo... its always the first thing you gotta fix when you want more performance/reliability...

If you really want to get a good look at the MS motor here is what you do.....if you have a 2.0L protege pop your hood and put a haridrer where your cat is and there you have it the MS motor......no matter how much people talk no matter how much hype is made its still a STOCK FS block with a pretty crappy turbo kit bolted onto it....

Well, that may be true, but its what everyone asked for. The basic reviews of the car were, great car, fun, but needs another ~40hp. Here you go, and its not terribly more expensize, and their mileage numbers aren't all that much lower then the standard P.

My opinion is that these cars are fun, can be competitive in their own right, but like most cars that weren't intended for a lot of power make poor monster street cars, preludes, tegs, civics, focus, etc.

But, I think a modest turbo setup would really round out the cars overall performance, while keeping mileage reasonable. Which, for a daily driver is a concern of mine. Either something like the FM kit or the stock kit would work for that, and the price tag on the stock setup is going to be a bit less, so I think its a decent offering from Mazda. Though I do wish they could start you off with a better IC...

Edit: BTW, you obviously have a pretty done up NA setup, what is it like compared to stock?

-Jeff

My NA setup feels great over stock and i'm pushing more than a BEGI turbo kit on 5 psi on a 2000 Pro ES like mine. The BEGI at 5 psi on the 2k ES made 120 whp pretty sad for over 3 grand if you ask me. My last dyno I made 132 whp and that was without my header and with my O2 sensors unplugged lol.....I'm going to be getting a haltech soon along with the underdrive pullys so I shoudl be able to pull over 150whp NA easily. I've gone turbo I've gone Nitrous and now I'm NA and I have to say of all the 3 on the protege the NA feels the best to me. But I've never really been too much of an avid fan of Forced Induction anyways...I like to do things the hard way

There are two main reasons for such a small IC. 1. U.S. front impact restrictions. 2. At such small pressure a big IC would be worthless, as in pressure drop. #2 is JMO.
