eeton supercharger
I have a question about the supercharger available for the 3rdgen 1.6 The guy told me I could get a charger and run a safe 6psi with only a FMU and a boost guage. The price is a bit stiff at $3800. How much average hp will 6psi add? Or is this kit basically useless? Any response will be appreciated.

Do you know of a good info source on the topic? I wanted to do a custom turbo, but Im leaning tword the charger. I also wondered about the internals in the 1.6L Will they hold up for long with the added stress of a charger? Also wondered if the 1.6 Miata internals would fit. Or would that even be an upgrade. Thanks, youve been helpful.

Ducan,
DAve Potter has a full race 1.6 turbo protege. He races with big cars. He had his system built by wagnermotorsports in Pennsylvania. Here is the web www.wagnermotorsports.com

I dont think your not knowing of the supercharger is a by-product of your being slow. (kidding)
I talked to a guy a Thomas Knight Turbos. He said it wasnt a universal, but a one off kit. Whatever the hell that means. I can post the website if youd like..........Duncan

I've emailed Jackson Racing a few times about making a kit. Not that I'm really interested, but I've seen so many "supercharger available?" emails that I decided to write them an email explaining how much business they would do if they were the lone ranger. But they said check back at the end of the year. The more they hear, the better the chances.
