XM Radio in P5
Hey Folks,
I am wondering if anyone here has put XM radio in their P5? My dealer says that I woudl need to get the glass mount. What I am wondering is has anybody done something a little more stealth with their XM antenna so it's not so visible on the outside of the car with their P5?. I will have Window tint, but from what I have read on other forums that shouldn't affect it, if there is indeed a place inside the car to mouth the antenna. Lastly what's your reception like?
Thanks!

I just put XM in my P5. I have the Terk SR2 antenna mounted on the roof, on the passenger side near the hatch. It is not that big that it sticks out like a sore thumb. I will take a picture later and post it. I love XM by the way.

XM
You don't have ground repeaters in Canada, but the geosynch satellites should be able to transmit their signal as far as a few hundred miles north of the border, I'm sure. So you'll have signal when you have no obstructions in the Southern sky.
It costs 9.99 per month, but perhaps XM won't register you if you're not in the US? You may need to use someone (a friend's) US address!
Check out xmradio.com - maybe they have more details there. There are also a couple of good discussion groups where you can post your questions or read older posts about it - ClubXM and XMFan
And yes, XM rocks!
BTW - my antenna is on my trunk lid, same Terk SR-2. It faces the other way, so the wires can run into the trunk near the bottom of the rear windshield, so the XM logo faces forward, and is not visible from the rear. Which I think is a good thing, doesn't draw too much attention. Although I negated that with a big-*** XM sticker on my rear windshield
