Yeah I want to see some pics, but I want to do the grille myself. Take some pics of the back of the grille before it is installed. The only thing I cant get, is how to mount the damn thing.

yeah no prob. it might be a while before i actually put the mesh on because im gonna have to sand down my grill and repaint it,
but just use a few thin nails and epoxy them on the back of the grill where you cant see it from the outside and position the mesh and bend the nails back to hold the mesh in place.

im not gonna paint the grill untill i fix my rear qarter panel cuz i backed into a pole and F**KED up my fresh paint job, but i might go ahead and paint it when i have some spare time at work.

Hey, TX. Where did you get the clears for your car? It looks very nice, and I am sure you are going to make some of the 1st gen owners jealous here, because other then your car, I have only seen one other one with clears.

To answer your question about the clear corners, all you need to do is break off the amber lens. THose clear pieces sit behind the lens. The only downside is that they are not molded like the amber lens. Their shape is kind of an "L" so they don't flow well with the body style up close. However, they do look good for photos and when you are racing along.

It looks like everyone is graduating to custom grilles. We're working on the grille for my Protege also. We're just taking the "stock mesh" out of the 92 grille, and replacing it with chrome mesh. Then replacing the "mazda" emblem for the finishing touches. I'll post pics and a summary of how it was done when we finsih.

man i still havent painted my grill.....been kinda busy at work.
after im done i think im gonna post a step by step on how to install the mesh. So if anyone wants to send me their grill so i can take pics for each step id be happy to do it, and even paint the grill <and the mesh if you want> to match the color of your car. altho it might not look right if u have a 12 year old paint job still on your car. but maybe ill paint my grill soon, and maybe ill get my GTR motor that ive always wanted, and body kit, and etc. etc. etc.
and clinton might be elected to president for his third term........oh wait......nevermind
