Vibration from bass in sedan

Im getting this annoying rattling-buzzing comming from where my back speakers mount. I mounted them from underneath and whenever a song with a lot of heavy bass plays, I hear this sound. It is especially prominent when I turn on both my subs in the back. The problem go away when I put pressure on that platform. I call it platform cause I cant think of a better word. I would dynomat-it but Ive never used the stuff and have read on this board that the chances of it staying on are pretty slim since I would be mounting it from underneath.

I feel that if I were to brace that area, it would stop the vibrations. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

Dynomat is a sticky sheet, not liquid spray. It will stay on on any clean surface, no matter what angle is. Dynomat is the solution to rattle.

I thought if it was stuck on the equivalent of a ceiling, that heat and its own weight would be enough to make it fall off...

Am I mistaken and wasting precious hours listening to rattle when dynomat could fix my problem in 15 minutes? PLease say yes.

I just bought 3 huge sheets of it. I think this stuff will stick to everything. Buy a little and see if it sticks and then go all the way.

make sure the surface you are applying it to is super clean and that you seal the material against the surface so there is no air or chance for dirt to get in. also, you may not want to apply multiple layers because the weight can cause it to fall.

peace....

Usually dynomat wouldnt fall off. IF its installed Correctly. im about to dynomat my doors and trunk soon. Jus to keep the bass in and keep a nice setup.

But if u install the dynomat correctly. and not let it get wet...it should never fall off or peel unless u pick at it...

I remember reading about this rattle being common in the sedans, and it had something to do with the seatbelt mounts rattling against the rear deck.

Try to search out the specific location of the buzzing. Dynamat is a great product, but won't solve your problem if you don't find out exactly what is touching what to cause the buzz. If you can locate the rattle, you might not have to spend the cash for Dynamat - a small piece of fabric or a matchbook cover wedged in the proper crevice might stay 100% invisible and solve your buzzing for free.

Search the archive for this one - I definitely remember reading about this before.
