Talking Took the plunge... H7 HID's!!

I sure hope this guy's as legit as it seems. http://www.misterjung.com/

I actually found him here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...item=1872433430 but opted to go 6000k (and save $2 in the process.) His interperitation (sp?) of 6000k is not what Catz's is, but looks to be what I want.

Anyone have experience with Misterjung?? If so, please post up. His Ebay feedback is impressive, but who knows. Internet business is more robust than ever, but you still need to be cautious and do the homework. We shall see next week!!

Catz http://www.fet-usa.com/news_reviews.asp looks to be a great deal too, and they're local to me. The best price I could finagle from them was $441+tax for the 4300k setup. That was a deep discount from what they said (whatever...) I went out on a limb going the other route, but I like the fact Mrjung is using Hella ballasts with internal ignitors. This seemed to be the more obvious choice IMHO.

I will let you all know the skinny on these ASAP.

Take care,
Jim

PS - Mods, can you please correct my spelling "plunge" in the title for thread view mode? Thanks!

Absolutely. Soon as I get them in, I'll do an extensive photo shoot.

Sore subject. Bottom line the car was blowing (turbo blowby)1.5 Qts of oil in less than 3k miles, loosing coolant, loosing AC refridgerant, etc., etc. No way was I keeping that POS. The local dealer was cool as hell, but my area SOA (Subaru of America) rep was a complete dick. Everyone at the dealership agreed on this point. Nothing they could do (hands tied.)

The car also had terrible cold clutch shudder from day 1. Had to fight tooth-n-nail to get him to warranty clutch/flywheel. The other stuff listed above never got rectified.... just didn't want to hassle with the lemon law (although I should have!!)

I ordered these directly from his website Friday night. PayPal'd the money, and sent two follow up emails. Nothing.

No warm fuzzy at all. We shall see.

I don't know about the HIDs... but it sounds like you got a lemon from Subaru... they usually aren't that bad. My brother's Suby has been pretty good, maybe not as great as my old Camry was, but no major mechanical problems.

Glad you decided to join us Pro owners though

Thumbs up Update

MrJung finally emailed me. Said they were shipped priority mail last Saturday.... we shall see. If this be the case, I should see them today, or tomorrow. Starting to feel a bit better about this transaction after all.....

I'll keep you all posted.

Jim

PS - Tried calling the numbers listed above by alcoholiday. One's a cell number (no answer, then VM says box is full, "please hang up!!") The other is a fax line.... FYI.
