I'm with justcharlie. The police here in Virginia suck. I'm in the richmond area and tint only been on my windows for no more then a month and been pulled for it already. Well didn't use a turn signal got pulled for that then questioned about the tint. funny Story actually.

Cop asks me to get out and I do (dressed up for work and lookin nice). says that my windows do not look to be legal limit and if I would mind him checking the percentage. I say of course not and that you will find my windows to be of legal limit under virginia law. My front windows are 50% and backs are 20% (normally should be 35% for most cars) and before the cop says something I continue with. Under Virginia law "Muli-Purpose Vehicles" can have the back windows no darker then 20% these vehicles include but not limited to Trucks, Vans, SUV's and Wagons. This is a Mazda Protege5 Wagon and falls under the 20% darkness catagory.

He smiles and walks back to his car for a few minutes comes back with his lil dodad(technical term) checks my windows and they come back fine. He then asks if I checked the Virginia law b/c what I told him what almost exactly what he was told when he checked on that while in his car. Of course I did check the laws and wanted my car as dark as possable. told me to have a nice day and off I went no tickets no warnings.

Just know your laws and ways to bend them.

I'm in NOVA, specifically Reston. I'm thinking about going to LA Tint down the street in Sterling.

Hey dude, I work in Chantilly and I thought about going to LA Tint in Sterling too! Which one are you gonna get? I was leaning towards the Premier Series Film 35% all around. They gave me an estimate of $229. When are you getting yours? We can go together.

Sure, lets do it. I'm not 100% positive what I'm getting yet, but I'm getting it done shortly after the 15th (I'll be in Lynchburg VA that weekend for motorcycle rider training). Let me know if you want to go at the same time, I'm down. I'm thinking of either getting 35% all around or 35% on the front windows and 20% on the back.
