Taking those cheap reflectors out

I am the proud owner of a 2003 Black Miaca sedan. I am very happy with the overall styling of the Protege but my only beef is with those cheap reflectors on the headlights that look like they came straight from my sister's bike. I saw in the "How To" section that there was a way to get them off. I just wanted to know before I went through all that if anyone had tried something similar to that to get their reflectors off. I just want to know if it works, and if it does how the car looks without them. It's a lot of work but it's be worth it if it looks better. Thanks guys and gals.

i looked into doing it a while back too but it seemed like too much work. I kinda like the reflector there now. maybe you can give it time and it'll grow on ya.

hey kickniteasy and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

look all around for threads on "clear corners" and you will find more than you want on the subject....

hey im actually in the process of doing it now, my bumper and headlights are off but i havent gotten a chance to bake them yet and take them apart cuz i chose to go out with some friends to see a movie instead of finishing it up, i will probably get it done tomorow but unfortunately i dont have a digital camera yet, i should be getting one on monday so i will post the pics for u as soon as possible, one of the links that KpaBap gave had a guy say something about it taking time and baking muffins, yeah it takes time, but if you want your car to look good, you gotta take time on all your mods cuz if you rush something ur bound to **** it up, so if you plan on doing this try to have the whole day or as much of it as possible so that you dont have to rush anything.

Keep an eye out on this thread i should be posting pics, while taking out the reflectors i am also painting that gray plastic **** inside the headlight to black to match the black mica of my 2002 es sedan , i mean since you got the headlight apart why not....
