1 12" JL W3 should be plenty of bass for you. It's plenty for me anyway

EDesigns makes some killer subs. You ought to check them out at www.EDesignsaudio.com I have had 2 12s come in this week and they hit hard, and they are great sounding quality subs. I am talking about the K series (which are their least expensive line). They don't skimp up on quality and can't beat the price of them! They even have amp/sub packages, but if you want a less expensive amp, then a mono Kenwood or better yet Alpine would do the trick!

Sub amp combos from edesigns may be a little pricey, but after hearing their subs, if their amps are as good of quality, you simply cannot beat them! They are awesome and surprisingly cheap! If you adhere to a strict budget, you may only be able to afford a small mono amp and a single sub. Whether you get a 10 or 12, you won't be disappointed if you get the ED's. Their are in it for the long haul. If you are like me and never heard of them until now, get ready, because you are going to see their popularity grow like Stillwater Designs' Kicker when they first came out.

Please stay away from sony, they have gone waaaay down hill in quality since 1999.

http://www.thezeb.com/caraudio/orion.html this is a nice deal, RF subs arent too bad but orion kicks ***.

The ED is another great choice.

actually, here in the philly market, some install guys here actually have tested and seem to think the sony gear is getting better with their new product line.. but it's all a line of bullshit to me. anything with the word "X-PLOD" on it is a piece of ****, mister-T seems to be happy with his e-designs, and i've heard some good reviews about their line of subs. but if you're like me, you have to hear the sub and amp before you buy anything, please please do me a favor and try ANY other product line offered at circut city besides profile/baja series amp or sub, and sony. mtx products are a great line of subs, try some of their **** out... you're looking at sony and thinking the watts and everything, personally, there are alot better subs offered there. bazooka subs actually sound good powered with bazooka amps, don't know why, but they sound great as a pair, not entirely impressive seperate though... mtx has an excellent line of subs, alpine has some great amps there, and i'm sure there's got to be some base-model infinity subs to check out there as well. if you're stuck with what stores you're shopping at, look at their better products, cause sony just isn't the best line that circuit city carries.
peace
p.s. forgot to mention the excellence of an mtx amplifier

alright, sony....blows....that is a certain. right now i have two kicker cvr 10's and a kicker 400.1 amp and i get PLEANTY of bass in my little 98 lx. I had a sony 760 2 channel amp powering my kickers, and my kicker 400 1 channel puts out more power to the 10's. thats just my thought on the subject.

Sony stuff isn't terrible, but for nearly the same price there are better brands. I'd say stay away from Kenwood...unless they've changed here recently...every Kenwood piece of equipment was a piece of ****. My .02
