Stock H/U won't budge! Help plz!!!
Ok, read all the instructions from the Sir Nuke posts. Done. Bought and made all the necessary tools. Here's what happened;
-stuck in the small DIN pullers and heard the *click* from all 4 small holes.
-inserted the SirNuke DIN puller in the oblong holes
-told my friend to pull the DIN pullers away from center, and I pulled the main one.
-right side moved a bit...BUT then left side pullers slipped out!!!
-I was like "no biggie" and put the pullers back into the small holes...
-then there was no clicks, nothing, we insert the small pullers and they engage nothing but air...and now we cant get the damn stock DIN to move from the left side, it simply will NOT budge. Also, the right side now does not engage anything either after reinserting those pullers, but its still loose. We've tried everything and we have no clue what the heck just happened!!! Did we break the clips? Is the H/U just that much more snug in there?
This is becoming a big pain in the ****! I've installed full suspensions easier than this!!!
So what now? I saved nearly 100+ bucks to not hire a pro installer, but now it seems i may have to anyway. But ppl here claim its not hard. Once i remove the darn thing, the rest is history!!!
Please help, I need ideas or suggestions to go to the next step...besides taking a saw to it and getting it out of frustration. Thanks for the help, its greatly appreciated.

I used 2 sets of Ford radio removal tools from Wal Mart. Best investment I ever made! Two on each side, pull them outwards and the radio will just about fall out of the dash.
The tools meet together in the center hole and make removing the factory unit a snap. Literally a 10 second process.
If things are stuck, you may have bent one of the clips that hold the thing in place. See if you can move the unit back into place. You will hear a click of the clips if your successful.
If you remove your glove box cover you can see the side clips on the passenger side. You might be able to see if something is bent or caught on that side. Driver side is not so easy.

blueLEDz: Thanks for your help. I checked that post, it will help me see the passanger side clips but not the driver side. And also looking at the pictures he gave, removing the center console doesn't reveal whats on either side of the DIN.

I had the same thing happen to me. If you don't care about your stock hu (you're going to replace it), you can do what I did. I used screwdrivers and tore the front off the head unit, then bent it all to hell until I could reach in to push the clips. The stocker will never work again, but I don't care because it's a piece of crap. If you opt for the aggro approach, just be sure you tape the silver trim around the head unit so you don't scratch it up.
