Speaker wires on passenger side

Ok i'm almost done with my install. All the wires have been run except for the speaker wire for the passenger side. Everytime i try to snake the wire from the door i wind up inside the hollow space inside of the car. I was wondering if there are any tips or tricks to the passenger side. I would take off the glove box but i don't think that would help. The driver side was cake.

Thanks in advance
jeff

What year is your car? I know in my 2001, I ended up cutting the adaptors (and save them if you do so you can place back in), and splicing in to the wires. I tried snaking 16 gauge wire through. but after a few attempts, I remembered hh talking about what a pain in the *** it was. So I thought F--k it and used the 22 gauge generously supplied by the Mazda manufacturer <BLAH!> What's wrong with the factory speakers and the "whizzer" tweeters? <Sheesh> Those things are cheap. I am surprised on the sound quality for such cheaply made speakers (I will give them that!) Otherwise, out with the old and in with the new! I couldn't tell any difference from using a 16 gauge speaker wire versus the cheap *** wires Mazda supplied. I had the 16 gauge in a previous car. So if you can get away with it, it'll save you from using perfectly good cuss words!

I figured since i would be running 160 watts rms to each door changing the speaker wire would be a good idea. It wasn't that hard. All you have to do is open the doors all the way. Pop out the molex connector. Drill out the unused compartments(4) on both pieces. Run wire and replace. When drilling out the unused compartments start off with a small drill bit and drill out each individual compartment. Then move on to a larger drill bit(fits within all four compartments). Then take a small round file and file all the pieces you couldn't get. Took less than an hour per door. The only wires i have on the door side were for the stock speaker. Would have done the passenger side in about 30+mins but I tried not to remove the glove box to run the speaker wire.

I thought of pushing those rubber pieces out, but then thought knowing my luck I wouldn't be able to get them back in (DOH!). Otherwise, I would have tried it too. I have 75 watts rms going to each 6 1/2 in the front doors, but with the factory wires, they sound fine.
