Limeout, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

just in case this is the first forum you have visited there is a FAQ section and a search feature....upper right hand corner.....many of these things have been discussed a lot...and the answers are posted there...

but....since this is your first visit here....or at lest your first post...the answer is...

5X7's on the front doors.....with a max mounting depth of 2 1/2 inches....

and 6's in the back....but up to 7's will fit and the depth is not a problem at all as here is about 4 1/2 inches of back clearance on the rear doors.

Thanks

If I buy a 5 1/4" component set, will I have to cut into the door, or is there some extra space around the 5x7's?

Limeout

Or could I even fit a 6 1/2" speaker without cuttin? I know these are stupid questions, but everywhere I go they tell me different sizes, most people say they are 6 1/2 in all doors. Thanks

my previous post information is NOT my opinion...I have had my doors apart....I have personally taken all the measurements....there is absolutely NO DOUBT the information is correct.

as for the component sets......there are adapter rings out there to mount sets in the 5X7 mountings with NO CUTTING...so yes you can do that...same goes for the 6 1/2's....there are adapter plates you must use to mount them with NO cutting of your door.
