I am a new owner of a 2003 Blue ES, and I am wanting to replace the factory speakers. I have two pair of 6x9's from my old car. I was told these would fit into my new protege, but the front door speakers look smaller. Are the front door speakers 5x7's or are they in fact 6x9's? While I am here, are the back dash speakers 6x9's also, just too make sure? Thanks for the help peeps, and I appreciate the time! Peace Out!

Front speakers are 6x8s but most if not all 5x7s will fit and the rear deck holds 6x9s. There are speaker grills in the rear doors, but that is because Mazda shares the sedan's rear doors with the Protege 5s which house 6 1/2s in the rear doors.
