rear window mounted antennea

rear window mounted antennea

hey my sister has a 2002 mirage coupe, and shes got the same stupid antennea that we have on the protege. persoanlly i shaved mine and mounted a P5 antenea, but a P5 antenea wouldnt look good ona coupe like that, so i was thinking more of getting her an antennea mounted in the rear window, do u guys know anything about them, where to order, how much they cost?

i've never come across a stick on antenna that was worth a crap....but you could try places that do alot of TV and navigation systems, they might be able to help.

theoretically, an antenna works best when it is striaght up and down, as sound waves travel horizontal, the vertical antenna picks up the signal better.

IMHO, you need a new plan.

my dads LS doesnt have an antennea, the mazdaspeed doesnt have one, theres gott be a way to set it up

They most certainly do have antennas, just not the traditional fender/roof mount type. Those are OEM designed antennas that are embedded in the glass, not the same animal. The aftermarket for antennas like the one you want is pretty weak at best.

You can give them a try, but you may want to try putting a traditional antenna in the rear pillar behind the panel or along the top of the rear window under the headliner. Don't expect any good AM, but FM should still come in decent. A long straight one from a GM would be a good choice.
