Putting in a sunroof.
My p5 is right out of japan and it came without a sunroof thats all i think this babe is missing, but i would like to know,is it easy to install one from a US.spec p5,i could get a sunroof to buy,but would that hurt the car in any cutting of the roof.

Im in the same boat as you. Im looking to put a sunroof on my Protege sedan. From what everyone has told me it would be alright to put on, but make sure whoever does it seals the roof good. Water can leak in and ruin the interior. Thats the only thing Ive heard that would be bad if you put in an aftermarket roof.

I would NOT reccomend doing this. Cutting into the roof compromises the structural integrity of the vehicle. I understand wanting a sunroof but getting some $300 sawz-all jobs isn't going to make you happy. I've done it and was very pissed. It's impossible to go back!

Oh, and I kinda have to agree with roddimus on this one. But if you're that desperate for one. Make sure you put in new roof braces forward and aft of where you're putting the sunroof. No guarantees it'll keep from loosing intergity. And there's a chance when welding in the new braces, that it might ruin your paint job.
