painting new bumper

A friend and I are both going to get new front bumpers for our cars but we want to put them on ourselves to save money. Do I just take a paint shop my new bumper and tell them the color code? What about paint matching? Or does it not matter since my car is almost new and the paint probably hasn't faded much at all.

When I got my bodykit painted I installed it myself because it was cheaper. I asked around and picked out the best painter. I took the bumpers up there and gave him the paint code. They should have a book, and it is listed inside the door jam. With it being such a new car there should not be any problem with fading so the color should match up well.

exactly... don't spray paint your bumpers like i did... it works for my car cause it's old, i'm holding on to it, but it's not going to be more than just a look. every reputable body shop that does painting have color coded books and can match your paint exactly. good luck with your project.
