Looks nice. As soon as I can get some touch up paint, I'm gonna paint mine to match body color. Looks like I'm gonna have to go buy some at the dealer. I've been waitin for my free one for a while and I don't think it's coming now. Btw, did you sand the chrome off of yours before you painted it, or just paint right over it?

Exclamation

I used 1000 grit sand paper i got from autozone to rough up the surface before i painted the emblem. Then i used black bumper paint to paint it black. Kakarot, what color is your P5? Im not sure how that would turn out if you used the touch up paint since its not in a spray form..You might be better of just finding spray paint thats close to the color of your car cause if you tried to paint it by hand it might end up crappy looking.. Anyways good luck, and let me know if you got anymore ?'s.....

i use dupli color. they match almost anything. but i also know of paint shops that will just mix you a can of paint to match your car. it just runs a little more expensive. i'd try dupli-color

I'll check that out. Thanks. Now, I just have to get my poor car back from the shop.

Nice. I had never seen that done on a silver one. Looks good. My P5 is black and it was the first "mod" I did. I don't like chrome, except in the headlights. I did it in May and Mine is really chipped up from all the bugs and stuff. How is your's holding up? I just used the black dupicolor engine enamel that i used on my calipers. I also sanded mine with sandpaper from Autozone. I want to pain the rear emblems as well but have not gotten around to it.

Thumbs up

So far it seems to be holding up pretty good. I put quite a few coats of paint on it so it doesnt seem to be chipping at all. I said earlier that i used the bumper paint which seemed to work very well. The emblem actually looks just like color of the plastic the grill, so the blend is perfect and everyone so far has thought it came black to begin with. Anyways, keep up the good work!...Peace
