Neubie Fast Help

When I'm searching for a new HU, i.e. at Crutchfield, is it safe to assume that whatever fits a P5 will fit the sedan?? There are tons more choices for the P5. I just fingered that the P5 and the sedan have the same electronics. Is this true??
Thanks for any advice!!

I am 99.9% sure that the HU and other related stuff in the P5 is identical to the Protege ES. Cruthfield is a good site to find a good HU, but they usually charge retail prices...find the HU u like on Crutchfield and then go to something like Ebay to find your best deal.

Most standard size headunits will fit, look for "U" sizes on Crutchfield. The only issue folks have with 2000+ proteges is depth, do keep an eye on that number. Otherwise there are a lot of units to look at-
Enjoy the shopping-

You can generally throw most of those measurements out the window. All DIN sized decks will fit in the dash. The depth is somewhat important, but you may need to remove a bracket behind the dash. When purchasing speakers, you will have to take into consideration the mounting depth.
