Need a little help here guys! Opinions needed!

Hey guys, I am helping my friend with his car b/c he finally started to get into audio. He has a 94 Isuzu Rodeo, and has 4" speakers in the front and 5" speakers in the rear. Now I have never dealt with these size speakers, but he swears he is not adding subs, so he needs something with some good highs up front and some thump w/the rears. Now I know that you aren't gonna get too much from this system, but this is what he wants. Any suggestions on what speakers for him. And give me a few different price range speakers, he doesn't mind spending a little if he has too. Thanks in advance guys.

The JL XR mids can do some nice mid bass for there size but they won't rival a larger driver. Also 4" will suffer a quick death with out a crossover protecting them. Also you may want to try and get a Small 8" or 6.5" midbass or sub under the seats.
