My wrecked P5

Ok, I have a '02 P5 and had it since the middle of Sept...perfect cond., no scratches or dings. Well, last night my car along with four others were smashed by a drunk driver in an LS 430. I was parked in the street in front of a Geo Metro and behind a Sentra. The metro was totalled, spun sideways and half on the curb...smashed into my car and then my car smashed into the Sentra which hit my buddies Integra. The police caught the @sshole so Im not too upset. Now both bumpers are gone, my taillights, headlights, trunk, hood and parts of the rear side above the back wheels are all dented and smashed.
Considering the driver was doing about 40 and there were no skid marks leading up to the accident, my P5 held up pretty well. The engine and everything works fine, no warning lights or anything.

Anyways, instead of getting a P5 bumper put back on, I was thinking to order a MP3 bumper because there isnt turn signals on the sides...but Im not sure if it will be a direct fit. Also if anyone knows a good body shop in the San Diego area that would be really helpful...Thanks!

Dude that sucks. but hey make sure to get some pain and suffering $. That extra dough can mean the difference in getting the car put together your way.

My neck... my back... my neck and my back.

Yeah, it's a direct fit but illegal. So make sure you aren't gonna get tagged for not having a turn signal visible in front of the fenders from a side view. If you can get away with that around there than go for it.

Kincaid....the side marker in front of the front wheel on a P-5 is only that...a side marker...they do NOT flash with the turnsignals. someone ask that question a few days ago and I had to go and check it out on mine...and sure enough....it doesn't flash with the turnsignals...its only a marker light. so go for it....kind of a harsh way to get to shave the marker lights...but as long as you are having to replace the front end...you may as well have it your way.

and really sorry to hear about your ride OCP5....I hope that they put the clown away.....and HE should consider himself lucky that no one was killed.

why would you replace your head lights with the MP3 ones...the P5 head lights look alot better IMHO....most MP3 owners would love to have the P5 lights

correct me if i'm wrong,

the MP3 lights use 2 lights one for the turn signal and one for the highs and low beams (H4's)

the P5 have three: one for the turn signal, one for the high beams (9005's i think) and one for the lows (H7's)

what you should do is look into getting the HID headlight kit from mazda in japan

Nightowl..you are right about the differences between the light housings...but I dont' think he intends to change the light fixtures from P-5 to MP3....just the bumper to shave the side marker lights.

I too like the P-5 head lights better.....to me they look cleaner. Just MY opinion though. :{D

I like that the MP3 has black instead of silver on the lights. I also think that the lens are smoked which looks nice.
